In 31 years I lived in this life, aku udah dapat 2 turning points. First, sewaktu hamil pertama. And second, pertama kali umroh ini.

Felt unbelievably content saat umroh ini, karena bisa umroh dengan orang tua dan suami. Dan nikmat rasanya bisa beribadah dengan damai karena tau anak-anak dititipkan di tangan yang handal dan sangat dipercaya.

Sebenernya it never occured my mind untuk umroh dulu. Sewaktu diajak mama pun, aku masih berkelit, dengan alasan anak-anak belom bisa ditinggal. Tapi ternyata sudah diberikan jalan sama yang diAtas untuk umroh. 

Jalan nya muluuus banget. Dari pas banget jadwal umroh nya sewaktu anak-anak libur sekolah (padahal naik Fi**t Travel murmer yang gak jelas kapan berangkatnya),  pas banget yang dititipin anak-anak available, pas banget cuaca disana enak lagi musim dingin (Januari), and sampe pas banget lagi punya rejeki buat beli oleh-oleh.. haha.. Alhamdulillah.

Looking at Baitullah for the first time felt surreal. It was majestic. Gak bisa dituangkan dengan kata-kata rasanya. And beribadah dan berdoa disana rasanya sangaat dekat dengan Allah SWT. Ini toh rasanya.. and after days of intensive prayers, rasanya malu sama yang diAtas, udah dikasi nikmat banyak, kok ibadah masi gitu gitu aja :| And that was my turning point to wear hijab :)

Aziza? hijab? orang yang kenal aku dari muda mungkin gak percaya :D haha.. akupun gak percaya.. haha.. banyak banget pergulatan batin yang terjadi sebelum pakai hijab. Takut dibilang gak cantik lagi lah, extreme lah, pokoknya yang ditakutin adalah pengakuan orang lain. Tapi alhamdulillah dikasih hidayah, belajar gak peduli apa kata orang :) 

Still along way to go to be a good moslem.. but if not starting now, then when?

Vaksin meningitis

InsyaAllah akan melaksanakan ibadah umroh dalam waktu dekat. Dan salah satu requirements nya adalah suntik vaksin meningitis. So here we are, on the search of vaccine place in Jakarta.

Tidak banyak tempat di Jakarta yang bisa memberikan vaksin meningitis ini. Dan most of them di berikan kuota untuk per hari nya.
Mungkin keterbatasan kuota ini dilakukan Departemen Kesehatan agar vaksin bisa tetap di kontrol ya?! Supaya tidak ada vaksin gelap yg menaikkan harga or memalsukan vaksin. (Read: sotoy aja sih ini haha)

Ini daftar tempat di Jakarta untuk vaksin meningitis..

Sejak Des 2015, RS Fatmawati juga bisa vaksin meningitis ini. Tepatnya di gedung Boegenville Lantai 1.

Dan ini yang harus dibawa untuk daftar vaksin :
1. Fotocopy passport
2. Pas foto 4x6

And here are my experience, going through the vaccination at Soekarno-Hatta :
1. Minta dan isi formulir.

    Saya dan suami disuruh isi nama dengan 3 suku kata di formulir. Padahal di passport masih 2 suku kata. While they didn't ask this for my parents. Padahal mereka juga cuma 2 suku kata di passport nya.

    Well, seperti nya (dan semoga) ini bukan masalah si. Cuma pengen cerita aja :)

2. Ambil nomer antrian, setelah memberikan formulir dan requirements nya.
    Saya dapet nomer 91, pada jam 8.30 pagi.. And nomer antrian yg sedang jalan adalah 30.. So yep, still along way to go.
3. Nomer dipanggil untuk masuk ruang pemeriksaan.

   My number was called at around 10 o'clock. Masuk ruangan, dan ada petugas (don't know if they're doctors or not) yang mengambil tekanan darah. Dan wekweww tekanan darah saya terlalu rendah. It was 84/47. And vaksinasi gak bisa dilakukan kalau darah nya rendah or tinggi.. Or lagi demam. Dan petugas nya menyarankan saya untuk makan dan minum dulu, lalu balik lagi untuk dicek tekanan darah nya. Sempet stres takut gak bisa di vaksin.. Huhu.. Tapi ternyataaa abis makan, tekanan darah nya normal hehe.. Ternyata banyak kasus seperti ini kata petugas nya.

4. Pembayaran di loket.
    Harga total vaksinasi meningitis adalah Rp 305.000,~
    Sepertinya hanya bisa cash disini. FYI disini ada atm BNI.
5. Tunggu nomer dipanggil untuk masuk ruang vaksinasi.
    We didn't wait very long for this one. Around 5-10 minutes.
6. Setelah vaksin, berikan formulir ke loket ICT.
    Didn't wait very long for this one either. Sekitar 10 menitan juga.

And tadaa.. We got the yellow book. Lumayan menghabiskan waktu ya with all the waiting.. Total waktu nya sekitar 2.5 jam lah..

Oiya hari sebelumnya kita ke RS fatmawati jam 9 pagi, dan kuota disana sudah habis. Di fatmawati cuma ada 150 kuota, dan info dari orang yg mengantri disana, mereka sudah masukkan formulir dari jam 2 pagi lalu pulang, karena vaksinasi baru dimulai jam 7.30 pagi. Shocking!

Di Soetta ada 300 kuota dan tidak selalu habis tiap hari nya. Pendaftaran ditutup jam 1.30 siang. Jadi bisa dateng ke Soetta setelah makan siang. Malah mungkin lebih cepet prosesnya daripada dateng pagi..
Gedung ini ada di sebelah masjid Soekarno Hatta. Dari arah tol, menuju daerah perkantoran bandara, melewati gedung imigrasi, lalu belok kiri setelah Masjid. Sedikit kedalem gedung nya.

Baby stroller review (2)

Yep just bought a second stroller for my second baby :) I found it really irresistible not to search and look for another stroller that fit me (and the baby) I don't know why I'm so obsessed of finding the right one.. Sigh

After days I've been googling out, I kinda feel like this is the one.. It's Aprica Karoon! Oh oh oh this stroller just went inside my mind for days! And I really mean it.. It just circling around my head.. And after I looked at it at the store, ah I just fell in love!

It's small and mini just like me :) it's super lightweight! And it's easy to fold..

It weigh 3.6 kg! Crazy ha?! It could hold until 15 kg.. That tiny stroller could hold my 3 years toddler.. Well she only weigh 11 kg :( but still, it's kinda awesome for stroller that small.. Hey it could even hold my toddler and my baby haha

Overall, this is a perfect stroller for me.. Just what I need.. But hey, everyone has they're own opinion and needs, so here's the pros and cons..

Pros :
- Lightweight, only 3.6kg
- Hold up to 15kg
- It could face both ways.. Rear and front
- Could stand on their own when folded

Cons :
- Too short for tall people
- The front wheels can't move 360.. Kinda like supermarket cart.. So you need to get use to it..
- The hood doesn't cover entirely..
- relatively small for bigger babies
- I found myself bumping the rear wheels everytime I walk..

But I guess the pros outcome the cons for me! I just love this tiny stroller..

Delicious Bibimbap!

I never knew that making Bibimbap is actually easy and very do-able.. And cheap.. Bibimbap is my all time fav Korean food and usually pretty pricey in some Korean food chain here (since they use top quality meat)

So when I found gochujang (Koreans fermented red chili paste - used in almost all Koreans food) in one of supermarket here, I decided to find bibimbap recipe and make it!

My gochujang looks like this.. I can't read the brand, but most gojuchang comes with similar red box like this..

And I found a very great recipe! And tasted super delicious.. I kept making it for a few days in a row.. Yum yum.. Here is the link

Hunting for Preschool

The search of Kai's preschool was no joke! most of all because of I want a bilingual school, and Kai's Dad wants Islamic school.. And I was pregnant, on my third semester! You could imagine the drama I made.. haha

Here are the school that I visited in Bintaro area, along with my review..

1. Kidea Preschool and Kindergarten Bintarto
    Jl. Camar Raya Blok BS No.21-22, Sektor 3 Bintaro 12330

    The school is relatively big compare to other Preschool I visited around Bintaro. The classes are on the second floor, there are outdoor playground (small) with swings, seesaw, and few bicycle available, there's a cubicle that filled with toys (waiting area for kids), and there's room for kids to play pretend, such as doctor's tools, police uniform, etc..
    Full english, montessori educational approach.
    I actually like the school.. the price was right too *wink .. but didn't get permission from hubby.. blah

2. Sekolah Alam Bintaro

    Jl. Pondok Pucung Raya No.88, Bintaro Sektor IX, Pondok Pucung RT 08/01

    Pondok Aren Tangerang Selatan

    This school is so much bigger than Kidea :) and so much more expensive :))

    The schools concept is back to nature.. so the classes is in open space (no aircon) and the school is very very rindang :) and there are animals too (rabbit, goat, etc), so kids could feed them and learn to love them..

    This school is an Islamic school with full Indonesian language, but apparently Kai's age is a problem. She's too young to be in the Playgroup B class. The school is really strict with the age. While I think she's too mature for Playgroup A..

3. Bumi Bambini

    Jl. Ki Hajar Dewantara No.6X Tang-Sel 15413

    021 - 74714354 / www.bumibambini.sch.id

   This school is the biggest preschool and kindergarten ever.. I fell in love with the place.. very rindang, very homey, very big and do not forget the swimming pool.. Oh heaven for parents who've been trying to find a perfect school.. with limited budget :D

   But then, of course, every parents want this school.. It was already full, with waiting list as long as 40-ish.. That is waiting list for Playgroup B only.. didn't ask for the kindergarten :( 

   And oh, this school is using full Indonesian Language, but they have one day for English day.

4. Mandira

    Jl. Kasuari HB 2 No. 15 Bintaro Jaya Sektor IX Tangerang 15229

    021 - 74863146 / mandira.school@gmail.com

    The school is relatively small.. and the location is on the side of  a pretty busy road, so I have no idea how to drop my lil toddler in this area :( But the staff was really really nice and friendly..

    Using 30% english and there's swimming activity twice a year.

5. Wiggle Jiggle

     Jl. Kasuari Blok HB 2 / 23 Sektor 9 Bintaro

     021 - 7452071

    The school's location is very close to Mandira School, and it's as big as Mandira School. Their concept is sort of baby gym.. so they have baby gym equipment in the middle of the school. And they have mini rock climbing. 

    Full English they said :), there's weekly report for parents, there's psycologist to monitor kids behaviour, but no swimming activity.

    But then again, the problem is the same as Mandira.. The location is on the side of a pretty busy road.. and the price was a bit pricey for me :D 

6. Khalifa IMS

    Jl. Elang Raya Blok HF1 No.5 Bintaro Jaya Sektor 9

   After the long and exhausting search, finally, me and my hubby agreed to put Kai in this school.. fyuh.. Not a perfect school, but close to what we looking for.

    This is an English Islamic school, just like we searched for. But once again, the school is rather small. It's a 2 story house transformed into a pre-k and kindergarten's school. With no outdoor playground. And not a very big indoor playground (mm not exactly an indoor playground, just a few plastic seesaw, slides, and a few more).

    They have Nursery A (2 yo), Nursery B (3 yo), K1 (4 yo) and K2 (5 yo).

    I think the school was alright, the teacher was pretty nice with pretty decent english. I kinda like the program tho, Nursery B will learn sholat, short surah, arabic alphabet. There will be 4 times swimming a year. And altho the tuition isn't exactly cheap, but I guess this is my best choice :) 

    Will be review-ing this school again after Kai started :)

There's a few more school i'd like to review tho. There's Bestariku, Mutiara Harapan. Maybe I'll review it some other time :)

Makeup of the day

I'm using my 2 new product I have, for today.. Yay..
Hmm the face kinda look dark..

First I'm using Naked bb cream.. And that bb cream definitely did not do anything to my face.. It seems like it doesn't have any tint.. it kinda make my face softer, matte, and poreless. But no tint :( bummer..

And second, oh I'm wearing my new Instain in Swiss Dot for my blush and eyeshadow.. Hihi looked pretty nice.. I was too afraid to put too much on my cheek.. Since everybody says that this blush is very very pigmented.. But it was fine.. pigmented, but not too obvious in my cheek, well since I have a pretty tan skin.. With pale skin, maybe would popped out more :)
Really really love the packaging..and love the blush itself..

Awesome burger patty with a hint of rosemary!

Oh ok, I know the picture is not tempting.. At all.. Haha.. Mind my photographic skill..
But the burger patty tasted awesome!
I just bought rosemary plant (I failed growing it from seed.. Suck) and I am just dying to try it out, so I browse for burger with rosemary.. And I ended up at this page..

So I made my burger with the ingredients that I have.. I skipped the beer of course.. Tho I really really curious about the taste.. I bet it taste great..

So here's the ingredients that I use.. I don't use measurements.. I just mixed it with heart.. Hahaha

Ground beef
Chopped rosemary
Chopped garlic
Chopped red onion
Bread crumbs
Unsalted Butter
A lil of ketchup
1 Egg
Salt
Black pepper

Mix it all together, and form your patty as you like.. And let it rest for a couple of hours in the fridge (I leave it on the fridge over night)
And grill it!! Don't forget to put your cheese while it grilling :)
Voila! Awesome burger!

And oh, I made this onion topping for the burger as well..
Saute chopped red onion with balsamic vinegar.. Let it simmer until the onion caramelize..

Kai's recent fav meal

13th months Kai is in the phase of melepeh makanan :) somehow she just got bored with food.. One time she loves it, then she's lepeh.. Bzzz gives me headache seriously..

But then, if I made this meal, she just kept eating and eating.. Where I didn't make this meal particularly for her.. This is pretty much adult and Indonesian food :) not like the things I usually made for her (spaghetti, mashed potato, macaroni n cheese, etc) haha I guess Kai is really daddy's lil girl..

So here's the recipe.. Abit sour and abit hot :)

Ingredients :
0.5kg ribs
3 tbl olive oil
6 bawang merah
2 siung bawang putih
5 cabai merah (throw the seed away to make it less spicy)
1cm lengkuas
2 daun salam
Carrots
3 tomat (divided into 4)
8 belimbing wuluh (divided half)
2 tblspoon asem jawa
1 teaspoon gula jawa
Telur puyuh, already peeled

How to :
Boiled the ribs, until tender.

Heat the oil in a pan, put the bawang merah, bawang putih, cabai merah, lengkuas, salam and wortel until you can smell the aroma and caramelized.
And mix in the broth. Measure the broth from the ribs. Take 1 liter of the broth.

Add the tomat, belimbing wuluh.
To make the ribs very tender, I used pressure cooker. I cooked it for 45 min.

Then add the asam jawa, gula jawa, salt and sugar to taste :)

Baby Stroller Review

Kai only use one stroller tho. So I'm gonna review Kai's one and only stroller :)

Kai's stroller is the big and sturdy Maclaren Techno XLR.. Eyang mama's gift.. It was totally worth the price. London price tho :) this stroller cost too much here in Indonesia..

I've been googling soo many stroller before I decided this one. And there's so many good review towards this one. But after we use it, we found quite plenty problems.. Oh well.. I guess no strollet is perfect :)

So here's the quick review :
Pros
- Big and sturdy (it can hold my 5 years old nephew)
- Lightweight (for a stroller that can hold big kids)

Cons
- Big, actually too big for me (i am quite petite)
- Cannot face backward. With a newborn, I think it's pretty necessary.
- The stroller might loose balance if we put too many things in the handle. This one is pretty crucial. I almost drop my baby a few times huhu thank God she's wearing the belt strap :'(

Bottom line, I kinda wish a different stroller.. But then I might found another issues too.. Haha

And oh, one tip, the stroller had a pretty boring color. You might want to buy a colorful seat liner :)

Gel Liner.. Revlon vs Maybelline

Ow o.. I'm in love with gel liner.. I am such a newbie if it comes to applying an eye liner.. But with gel liner, ow I could make wing liner.. Yay
Pencil liner, I think it's too chalky.. And liquid liner, ah too hard to use..
I've tried this 2 drugstore brand.

Tried the Revlon one first. Revlon colorstay creme gel eyeliner.. Super cheap, Rp 70k.. Great price, Great packaging, great price, great creme, great brush, easy to use.. Super great..

And for the Maybelline, the name is Maybelline Eyestudio Lasting Drama Gel Liner.. Oh even the name is such a drama.. Haha..
Well it's not that cheap. Rp 100k.. So so packaging, the revlon one is more compact - the brush is actually intact with the liner place.. As in this maybelline, you need to hold soo many things when u used it.. The brush, the brush cap, the liner place.. Oh so many things to hold if u dont have tables near you..
And the maybelline brush is actually too soft.. And about the cream itself, the revlon one is creamier, so it's easier to use..

Bottom line, I like the Revlon one better.. Much better.. No fuss..

1st Public Pool

Kaira always swim at home, in her petite plastic pool.. never bring her to a public pool, since I always concerned about the water, the chlorine and such..
But this time, at the age of 10 months, I tried to set aside my concerns.. and viola! It was a blast.. haha..

We went to a public pool in a golf club.. Damai Indah Club.. It's in BSD.. again :) It was very clean, the pool is very big. And we got warm towel too.. sweet! and oh there's hot water in the shower too.. That is actually what I'm looking for. Since I need Kai to be showered with warm water after a cold swim..

I think this swimming pool is recommended for parents with babies :)

Pasar Modern Bintaro

We stop by to Pasar Modern after Taman Kota picnic :)
Heck, I never been to Pasar Modern, and I'm amazed.. We do have a clean pasar apparently.. neat.. We bought couple of things..

And the special one is, you can buy a freshly cut ayam kampung.. You pick the chicken to be cut.. I feel a bit eerie tho.. not a bit.. I keep my distance.. poor chicken :(

Kai is asleep after a loong day :) So it's time to go home..

Taman Kota 2 BSD

This weekend we decided to visit Taman Kota in BSD.. take a walk, lil picnic and lite cycling.. It was a pretty fun.. But we ended up in Taman Kota 2 tho.. oh well, it supposed to be the same..

The Taman Kota was okay, not very clean, but not very messy either.. but I kinda wish they take it seriously about this. People would love it more..

We stop in this picnic area. They made like blocks beside the river so people could have a picnic there I guess.. Kaira had her breakfast there..

And then we walked through the Taman Kota.. It only take about half hour or so.. But it was a good exercise :D

We definitely are going back to Taman Kota.. Polution Free!!

Crawl

Bless.. Is the feeling when I first saw my baby Kai did a real crawl :) sejuta rasanya.. ahh feels like the proudest parent ever..

Kai is 7 Months now, and doing a real crawl.. what a achievement.. haha no need to brag about this actually, since babys milestone is diff.. My Kai seems to move around so much, I predict she will be walking soon.. with no teeth.. haha yep no teeth yet. But I am really really curious tho how is she gonna look like with a lil white sparkle :)

Homemade Baby Cookies

Kai (6.5m), is really fond of finger food.. she likes holding into something and put it in her mouth. So Cookies/Biscuit is the best thing for me. If Kai is a bit cranky, I just put her in her chair, and give her cookie :) So I started to gave her instant Biscuit/snack. Already gave her Baby Choice, Gerber Graduate puffs and Heinz Farley Rusk Biscuit. So far, Kai really really love the Baby Choice and the Gerber snack.. not so much with the Farley, since it's really tough and messy when it started to get soggy.. 

Despite all the simplicity that those instant food gave, I feel really bad for giving her instant food :( it's not healthy, and i suppose to teach her not fancy instant food.. huhu.. so I made homemade cookie yesterday for Kai.. YAY.. It turns out pretty good. I tasted it and seems Kai like it too :)

Here's the Ingredients : Gasol Tepung Beras Merah, Margarine, Banana, Oat. Thats it. just mixed all together.. and put it on the oven (in the shape of cookie of course) for half hour.. and Voila! done! really simple yet super healthy.. I made it with margarine instead of butter. Since I need to hold dairy foods to Kai due to her allergy. Perhaps it will tasted so much better with butter..

So give it a try Mommas!

Myth

Just met a middle age stranger when I wash my breastpump at my office building.. And she told me some crazy myth of pumping my breast :( cukup bikin sedih.. Since she looked sophisticated.. Dan ngomong nya ber-bilingual.. Tapiii kok ndeso pengetahuannya..

Dia blng don't pump your milk... Akan ngerusak ur breast.. Tulang keropos.. Bla bla bla.. Klo mau kerja konsekuensi nya anak nya dikasi tambahan makanan..byk baca dong.. And terakhir yg bikin geli dia blng "dont give ur milk more then 10month.. Krn klo susu nya didiemin akan jd darah.. Di Indonesia gak dikasi tau itu.. " <<daaa.. Bukan nya itu mitos emak emak di Indonesia??? >.<@%%*/()%-&!!! Payah bgt deh ni ibu2 sophisticated...

Blah.. All of the above is just a myth people! Be smart.. Si Ibu itu nyuruh byk baca.. Bzzz jelas2 dia yg gak pernah baca pasti.. Minta ditoyor.. *esmosi.. Cm sdkt sedih aja ternyata byk orang yg masi mem fitnah Asi/breastmilk.. No human can produce milk with the same ingredients as breastmilk.. Not even close.. Breastmilk is the best for your baby and the mums! Period!

Donor Asi

Indescribable feeling.. Or should I say, rasanya sesuatu :) bisa mendonorkan asi sm orang yg membutuhkan :)

I've been stacking breastmilk dengan susah payah dari Kai lahir.. Lots of drama demi menuhin freezer dgn Asip (read: asi perah).. Dari harus beli freezer asi sendiri sampe asi mampet krn stres mau masuk kerja lg tp stok asi tipis..

Kai has allergy.. And I haven't started diet-ing when I stack Asip.. So, semuaaa asip di freezer otomatis gak bisa diminum Kai.. Phew.. All those hardwork.. Percuma.. Haha but thank God Kai doesn't drink that much during my working hours.. So I dont need those freezed Asip.. Kai cm minum dari asip yang saya pump hari sebelumnya di kantor.. 400ml per day..

I decided to mendonorkan Asip yg udah susah payah di kumpulkan.. Daripada dibuang.. Sayang banget..

So I "advertise" it on twitter :) and theres a young couple response to it.. Bayi 2 minggu mereka beratnya gak naik2.. And dsa nya menyarankan untuk dikasi sufor :( untung mereka realize that sufor prob not the right answer.. So they search for a donor..

I was really glad I could help them, and gave them more advise :) ahaha I'm talking like a pro :) well after 6 months of breastfeeding, sepertinya semua ttg breastfeed udah ngelotok di otak gw :) and such a waste not to share it..

So people, dont hesitate to donor ur breastmilk.. It could help new mom out there to calm their stress mind :D

1st day : Avocado

Hooray... finally, I started the real BLW :) mmm but Kai isn't 6 months yet :D hehe nakal.. kurang beberapa minggu aja kok.. abis eyang nya uda mulai ngasi2 iseng buah2an.. so why not start now.. toh gak akan dimakan banyak :) since it's BLW.. hehe justification diri..

1st day : Started with Avocado.. funny faces Kai made :D soo cuutee.. she's all confused.. what is this mushy thing.. and how in the world i could eat it.. but she's actually really good at grabbing the avocado.. and sometime she choke a bit.. kkk a lil freaked out, but I managed to control myself in front of her :) playing a cool mother..

I only gave her about 3 avocado fingers.. and she managed to squish em all :) very little that goes into her mouth actually.. it was very fun to watch..

Kai will be eating this avocado for the next 3 days. After reading things out over the internet.. they say its better to give the same food for 3-4 days, so you can look at the response of the baby.. like perhaps there's allergy or intolerancy..
